Nutri - Tips

Now is the time to make that switch towards the more healthier food alternatives. If you are still having trouble adapting to the taste of fruits and vegetables, here are several tips that may help.

.) Different kinds of fruits and vegetables should always be at the top of your shopping list.

.) To start the day right, drink a half glass of fruit juice every morning. Oranges is the general favorite.

.) To add taste and texture to your cereal, add some chopped fruit like banana, apple or dried fruit.

.) Add mashed banana to bread, toast or scones as a regular between-meal treat.

.) At least one salad vegetable in your sandwich can make a difference. Try tomato, lettuce, cucumber or               any raw vegetable of your preference.

.) Vegetable in hot soup is one sure way of ensuring your family's veggie-intake. You can also  use frozen vegetables because they are just as good as fresh.

.) Try to have one to two vegetables -in addition to potatoes - with your dinner.

.) Lots of vegetables can add that extra crunch to stews, casseroles and stir-fry dishes.

.) Finish off lunch and dinner with a piece of fruit. Delicious either raw, cooked or tinned in its own juice.

.) Raw vegetables with light dips are tasty treats! A healthy platter should always be ready in the fridge for the family to nibble on.
